I’m off to The British Academy of Film and Television Arts later this month (July) because I am one of ten lucky finalists chosen to pitch an original idea to TV Commissioners in the 2010 Pitch Up Competition

My short story ‘Glamour and Grime’ has been shortlisted for the London Fringe Short  Fiction Award 2009 sponsored by the Times Literary Supplement and Waterstones

My full length play ‘Changes‘ is having it’s first professional production at Lonodn Irish Theatre in Camden Town July 21st-23rd 2009

My short play ‘Elvis Has Entered the World’  is being performed this May at The Cock Theatre in London after being shortlisted in Artists Anonymous  2009 New Writing Competition

My short story ‘Tipping Point’ has been shortlisted for the RTE Radio ! Frank MacManus Short Story Competition 2009 – http://www.rte.ie/radio1/francismacmanus/1101400.html – hurrah !

My short story ‘The Red Dress’ has been awarded second prize in the 6th Sean O’ Faolain Short Competition. Congratulations to Julia Van Middlesworth from New Jersey USA who won, and all the shortlisted writers. There were 770 entries and it’s an international competition so didn’t we do well ?

December 2008 – I was announced  winner of The Guardian’s Mary Stott Prize  2008

I was longlisted for the ’Over the Edge’ New Writer of the Year Prize 2008, the other writers on this list are impressive so I was very happy to be included.
