  1. Hi – we met at VWC this evening and you asked for a link to my blog. Attached. I loved your stories and your readings. There was such a similarity between your story and mine – not just the link with Geraldine at Marsh, but I’ve also got twin daughters (19 and at uni), I’ve been a course junkie and I want to write my family story as London Jews who emigrated from Russia and Poland at the turn of the century – apart, that is, from the grandmother with shadowy origins. There are illegitimate babies in mine too!

Thanks once again for a really enjoyable evening.

    Danielle

Did enjoy meeting and chatting with you at VWC last night, I thought the extracts were great and very affecting, especially the father’s pregnancy reaction which conveyed the moment’s underlying threat of violence quite superbly. Made me shiver for the girl.
I guess I won’t be sending you my new novel ‘Tiddles Takes the Train’ to revue anytime soon though.

I read the book in a day, when the boys complained about the lack of attention I would read them an extract and explain that it was about their family.I loved it,it is Beautiful.I experienced every emotion, crying, laughing back to crying.I read parts to Dad who loved how he is described,he was impeccably dressed, new tassled loafers by the door, listening and smiling. You are an amazing writer.Thankyou.I have so much more to say but I am going to re read it first.Love and admiration,Dawn

    Hi Anna May,

I read your book over the last couple of days and loved it.

I know Dawn France very well and we have met over the years – the book brought back a lot of memories for me regarding “Uncle Bren and Auntie Philomena”.

Mum is currently reading it and I’ve no doubt she’ll love it too!

    Take care,

    Tracey. x
