14 AprHappy Easter

What an eventful Easter weekend. This website was captured by Algerian freedom fighters. Apologies to anyone who got their  very rude message about Queen and country  before it was seized back  by the heroic Sophie Garrett my (ex SAS!) website designer. On a more peaceful note on Easter Sunday  I did a guided London walk around Little Venice.

This was my kind of walk. Little Venice is actually in Maida Vale which has been dubbed Media Vale because of the number of celebrities who live there. So it was less of a walk and more of a standing still drooling  at the splendour of the five storey stucco fronted Georgian houses belonging to Earl Spencer, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Dave Stewart, Bjork, Joan Collins and  Micheal Flately of Riverdance fame.

These multi millionaires have lovely shutters, window boxes, designer dustbins and  do some very arty things with their hedges, too.  I had a photo taken with Bjork’s bin.

Have I said that after dark I call my husband Michael Flatulently ? It’s because he has restless leg syndrome in bed and lies next to me on his back, arms clamped to his side doing a jig with both legs and , well, I’ll leave the rest to your imagination…..

  3. Hi Anna May
I have been fantasising lately (in the midst of my far-too-busy/cluttered existence) about being rich, in a huge house, and having people to do things for me. What would it be like to have dinner served up every day? For someone to put out one’s designer bin instead of struggling resentfully with it through the grass/muck once a week? Someone to take your kids away when you’d had enough?
I dunno. I hate asking for help so it probably wouldn’t work v well…
Btw, I thought you had banned flatulence-related items recently??!!
    Hope you are well,
    Nuala x

    Hi there Nuala,

I think that dragging our own bins out probably makes us better writers ! As for the ‘windy words’ – I’m trying to eliminate them, but it’s a one day at a time struggle x
