Happy Birthday To Me !

My husband made me a collage (Blue Peter had a very strong grip on him as a child) and in it there were photographs of the ten houses we’ve lived in with our four children in since we got married 26 years ago.

Looking at those photos brought back a deluge, a niagara falls, of happy memories, too many to count.  I’m 50 today and my daughter helpfully and cheerfully pointed out this morning that it’s unlikely I’ll get another 50 years.  My thoughts are that I couldn’t be more grateful or more delighted with all I have (you know who you are xxxxxx) if I did live to be 100.

We’re gathering tonight at Joe Allens to drink mai tais and eat bald food (after our disastrous visit to The Hairy, remember?) and then to get tickled by some hulking drag queens and their feathers at Les Cage Aux Folles.  I will not be wearing a cardigan no matter how cold it gets. So ageing.
